I share your love for Zara. I’ve found though, that the European stores (when I was there a few years ago) were actually less expensive than their U.S. counterparts. Also, even though I’m not quite as tall as you, I definitely appreciate your clothing coverage. Happy Shopping!

Pants can be hemmed free of charge and specified to the quarter of an inch between 26″ and 36″. I stop at the Ellen Tracy department everytime I am in Bloomingdales, Nordstroms and Macys – the pants usually fit and if not I have them faced. They wear well and are main stays in my professional wardrobe looking good for years.

I work for a company called Long Tall Sally (http://www.longtallsally.com) and we specialise in clothing and footwear for tall women, so I can totally sympathise with the issue. We have a wide range of smart and casual wear in sizes 8-22 , trousers fit a 38″ leg and our tops are designed with longer sleeve lengths.

Working for a specialist tall retailer, I’ve also come across a couple of websites which have links to lots of resources for tall women (and larger shoe sizes):

Another great thing about Ellen Tracy is that they have a number of outlet stores—the outlet clothes have no defects, and they sell the current season’s styles…you can even try the clothes on in a high-priced department store, and then telephone the outlet store and have them send you the size you want!!!
