I have a closet of Ellen Tracy suits for work. The designer doesn’t carry a tall line, but the cuts and hemlines favor tall females. There is always at least an 1 1/4 hemline that can be taken down on the pants and arm sleeves, and the jackets have a long cut. The line is available at all the major department stores. The actual styles and colors may differ in each store based on the buyer, geographic area and store environment. Since I live in NYC, I tend to shop at Bloomingdales which carries the Ellen Tracy line.

Another great thing about Ellen Tracy is that they have a number of outlet stores—the outlet clothes have no defects, and they sell the current season’s styles…you can even try the clothes on in a high-priced department store, and then telephone the outlet store and have them send you the size you want!!!

I stop at the Ellen Tracy department everytime I am in Bloomingdales, Nordstroms and Macys – the pants usually fit and if not I have them faced. They wear well and are main stays in my professional wardrobe looking good for years.
